 Set up in 1965, and composed of 24 well-known institutes and enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjing, Shenyang and other cities. ChenGuang Research Institute of Chemical Insdustry is one of the major bases of China in the field of researching and producing polymers and synthetic materials.
ChenGuang mainly deals with technology development, application research and production of organic fluorides, silicones, special resins, different kinds of adhesives, medical polymers, etc. The products of ChenGuang count up to 20 classes which are further divided into 200 kinds with over one thousand specifications, and 24 kinds of them have been conferred the title of "Top Quality Products" by Ministry of Chemical Industry and Government of Sichuan Province. ChenGuang products are widely used in the fields of space, aviation, electronics, petrol, chemistry, coal, automobile, textile, machinery industries and so on.
Up to now, ChenGuang has achieved 448 items of research fruits among which over 200 have respectively won the international and national invention prizes. Because of its important contribution to advanced technologies in the fields of national defense and industry modernization, the institute has several times been highly praised by Central Committee of the Party, the State Council and the Central Military Commission.

The annual total output of fluoroelastomers, fluoro-resins, silicones, epoxy resins, etc. is nearly 10000MT, Increasing beyond 30% annually in recent years, main economic indexes are among the best in the same trade of China.
For years ChenGuang products have earned good reputation in both domestic and oversea market, and have been exported to USA, Japan, France, German, Italy, Turkey, Iran, Korea, Pakistan etc.
